About SERVPRO of Scranton

At SERVPRO of Scranton, we are the premier restoration and cleanup experts in the area. When disaster strikes, our fleet of specialized vehicles and equipment is what enables our team to respond fast and make it "Like it never even happened." We pride ourselves on operational excellence, team culture, and keeping our crews safe and fully prepared to serve our community.

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Fleet Mechanic & Warehouse Coordinator to take ownership of our vehicle fleet and warehouse operations.

In this dual-focus role, you will be the backbone of our daily field readiness. You will perform routine preventative maintenance on our fleet, manage third-party repair scheduling for major mechanical/bodywork, and keep our central warehouse organized, stocked, and efficient.

If you have a strong background in hands-on light mechanical work, enjoy keeping operations running like clockwork, and want steady, daytime hours with a competitive salary, this is the position for you!

Key Responsibilities

Fleet Maintenance & Management:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on all company vehicles and equipment (oil changes, fluid top-offs, light bulb/fuse replacements, tire pressure/wear checks, battery service, filter changes).

  • Oversee and schedule annual state inspections, emissions checks, and routine service appointments with local vendor shops.

  • Perform basic diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify issue severity.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external repair shops for heavy mechanical, engine, transmission, and bodywork repairs.

  • Maintain clean, organized maintenance logs and service records for every vehicle in the fleet.

Warehouse & Inventory Coordination:

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized warehouse layout.

  • Manage stock levels for equipment, cleaning chemicals, restoration supplies, and vehicle maintenance fluids/parts.

  • Receive incoming shipments, verify packing slips, and stage supplies for daily field crew dispatch.

  • Conduct regular inventory audits and report supply needs to management.

  • Oversee tool and equipment maintenance checks before and after field deployment.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Mechanical Experience: Hands-on experience with automotive preventive maintenance, light repairs, and basic diagnostic troubleshooting.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to track schedules, manage physical inventory, and keep clean record logs.

  • Driver’s License: Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (required).

  • Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs, bend, stretch, and stand for extended periods.

  • Work Ethic: Proactive, self-motivated, and dependable with an eye for safety and operational efficiency.

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Vocational/ASE certifications are a plus, but not required).

Schedule & Compensation

  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday (Choice/Assignment of 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM). No late-night shop shifts!

  • Starting Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 per year (commensurate with experience).

  • Benefits: Paid time off, holiday pay, and competitive company benefit packages.
